We’ve Powered Up to Keep the Joy Rolling

Your financial support enables Portland Wheelers to deliver the joy of bike rides to hundreds of individuals who otherwise would not get outdoors on a bike. As a small grassroots volunteer-led organization, we keep our expenses to a minimum while relying on the financial support and generosity of our community.

Rides are always free

In 2023 Portland Wheelers gave FREE bike rides to 936 happy wheelers who otherwise would have not been able to enjoy the freedom of a bike ride. Portland Wheelers never charges anyone for our services.  We are totally dependent upon the generosity of individuals, sponsors, and grants.

Expanded services in 2023

In 2023 we grew our service to over 40 locations. Fulfilling a strategic planning goal for 2023, we broadened our wheeler community. We served more young people with special needs, lower income individuals, and more traditionally underserved populations.

Over 110 Volunteers

In 2023 our 114 volunteers provided over 4,300 hours of their time to share the outdoors with our wheelers. They rode our trikes over 8,500 miles, interacting with our wheelers and immersing them in the community.

Enhanced staffing

We’ve enhanced our staffing structure in 2023 to ensure the best wheeler and volunteer experience. Our “small and mighty” staff of four super heroes keep us rolling. From answering the phone and scheduling rides and volunteers, to making sure every wheeler is greeted with a warm smile, our staff is the backbone of the organization.
