Ride Partners

Ride Partners

Portland Wheelers partners with residential facilities, schools, day programs, and other organizations to provide our ride service to their community. They are our ride partners.

Our season runs from May through October. Ride sessions, morning or afternoon, run approximately three hours. We may also be able to accommodate special scheduling requests. Our goal is to serve as many people as possible!

Ride partners receive a Ride Partner Agreement to sign and return. The agreement states the commitments that Portland Wheelers and the ride partner have made to each other. There is never a cost associated with this service. Some of our ride partners choose to sponsor Portland Wheelers, and for that, we are most appreciative, but it is never a condition for us to provide rides. In 2020, the Portland Wheelers Board made the important decision that no one would ever pay to ride. This important decision removed financial standing as a barrier, ensuring that the joy of outdoor recreation, socialization, adventure, friendship, and fun belongs to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or financial means.

Ride partners are responsible for providing Portland Wheelers with our signed liability waivers for each wheeler and for having their wheelers ready to ride. They also provide staff to assist residents with safe transitions into and out of our trike seats.

If you represent an organization that would like to provide this outdoor recreation opportunity for your community, please get in touch.
